Furnace Maintenance in Utah
Pre-winter inspection and clean. We check heat exchanger, igniter, blower, and gas pressure before the cold snap.
The short version
Here's how we do it.
Pre-winter inspection and clean. We check heat exchanger, igniter, blower, and gas pressure before the cold snap.
A furnace tune-up in September or October is the cheapest insurance you can buy. We pull the burner assembly, vacuum the cabinet, inspect the heat exchanger for cracks (the cause of most carbon-monoxide incidents), test igniter and flame sensor resistance, verify gas pressure with a manometer, and run combustion analysis at the flue.
Most no-heat calls we get in January trace back to a part that was showing weakness six months earlier. Catching it in the fall means a scheduled swap, not a 7am scramble when it's 14 degrees outside.
